CB E.J. Biggers: On a day when other cornerbacks regressed, Biggers took a step toward a larger role in the defense, and contributed two special teams tackles.
FB Darrel Young: His most visible contribution was a ferocious block on Pat White’s first-half touchdown run, but Young is as close to indispensable as they come for Washington.
K Kai Forbath: The big question mark was whether he could handle kickoffs, but a pair of touchbacks in the first half proved that he’s worked on his leg strength.
CB Josh Wilson: His first play from scrimmage was a pass-interference call for 34 yards. He settled in, but never looked totally comfortable in limited action.
CB David Amerson: Saturday’s performance showed he’s not ready to challenge for Wilson’s job yet. He had a face mask penalty, missed an open-field tackle, and was called for pass interference.
RB Chris Thompson: The rookie has been hit hard, and fumbled, in each of his two preseason games. The coaching staff likely will view this as a developmental year for him.
